do you ever suspect that your FF chart is "wrong"?
OK, I've been using Fertility Friend for three months, and sometimes I wonder the site is accurately defining my ovulation date. This month, I had two temperature dips, and I could have sworn (due to CM) that the first one was the O date, but the site marked the second one with the "crosshairs" instead. (Note: my cycle's fairly irregular, and the first month of charting, I took my temperature at too many different times in the morning.)
Do any of your find that Fertility Friend is inaccurate predicting your O dates? I'm still figuring out this process, so I'm probably at fault here, but I thought I'd ask.
TIA!

I wondered this too. I have been charting for a while and last month went to the RE who said I o'd when FF didn't have my O date yet. I started using the CBEFM and feel better knowing when I am at my most fertile time!!

Re: do you ever suspect that your FF chart is "wrong"?
I think FF is only as accurate as the info you put in. You really need to be consistent about taking your temp at the same time, and recording your CM accurately (which I hate doing). Even being off slightly with that can throw FF off (especially the CM part).
For the most part, your LP should not have a lot of variation - so sometimes I use that and count backwards. For example, if my cycle is 29 days, and my LP is almost always 12 days, I can tell that I probably ovulated on day 17.
Did you recently come off of BC?? It took me months to establish some sort of pattern. My chart looked like the Alps the first few months - I was surprised FF could predict anything!

YES my FF chart was wrong a few times and I had to manually change it. I knew for certain when I O'd because we were doing IUIs...and FF had my O date wrong a few times.

Re: do you ever suspect that your FF chart is "wrong"?
Thank you all for your insights!
I'm sure that some of my doubts about accuracy are due to human error (a.k.a. me oversleeping and taking my temperature at the wrong time). I have a weird work schedule, so it's hard for me to take my temperature at the same time each morning. I will have to find a way to work around the schedule issue (and be a little more diligent, too).
I'm also glad to know that I'm not alone in my doubts/experiences...
to all!

Re: do you ever suspect that your FF chart is "wrong"?
I've gotten so confused by FF. It was fine and then yesterday I entered my temp and it told me it couldn't interpret my data and all of a sudden my o date was gone and it didn't tell me anything.
Either I'm doing something wrong or my thermometer is broken or something.
I"m probably going to stop using it because I think it is giving me wrong information.
