Traffic from LI to NJ at 6:30 tomorrow morning?

I have a bris in NJ at 7:45am tomorrow. It's like 1.5 miles off the GW bridge. I live SW Nassau. If I leave at 6:30 will I be okay?

I always give myself a lot of time. That being said, I would leave at 6am. If you get there early, you can stop for coffee.

Many people take Friday off for a 3 day weekend trip. I would leave earlier if possible to be on the safe side!

it has taken me 2 hours onChristmas eve to get from Douglaston to Fort Lee.

Best advice is to use waze as you get closer to the time you want to leave just so you know what to expect. Better early than late..

It's also st. Pattys tomorrow. Leave extra time! I say 6:15 to leave. Like others said, get coffee if you are early!

I agree. With St. Patrick's Day tomorrow AND it being a Friday I would allow way more time then you normally would. Getting out of NY is a b!tch on a good day, even more so on a holiday Friday.

I think that is definitely not enough time, especially with St. Pat's, sorry!

I would head out by 6.

You can ask Waze to give time estimates for a particular time or in the future, or I believe they have an 'arrive by' option and it tells you what time to leave.

Thanks all! I'll try to head out earlier. But that early I won't be waiting to get coffee until I get there ha. I'll also have my baby with me but it's fine. It's in a synagogue so if I'm early I'll just go sit inside with the baby.

I don't think it's enough time. I live in Eastern Nassau and I commute to the Bronx everyday. I leave at 6:15 and it's hit or miss. I'm either at work by 7:15 or it's taken till 8:00. I'd leave a little earlier just to be safe.

That's actually a brilliant time so people can come before they have to go wot work. Prob get more people that way.

Anyway I agree to leave extra time.

I'd leave at 545, the latest.

GWB and cross Bronx is awful

No, not enough time! I used to commute from SW Nassau to the Bronx right by the GWB, you will hit tons of traffic leaving at 6:30. I would leave by 6 the very latest! There's a small window of time where if you leave at 6ish you should be ok, but 6:15 traffic starts to build...If you're early grab a coffee ??

I'm late to this conversation now, but if you put the Waze app on your phone, you can put the address in the night before and it will ring an alarm the next morning when it's time to leave. Waze is incredibly accurate and will divert you around traffic, so I'd recommend that next time!
