My DH and I just got into Shameless and really like it
it took me a few episodes though to really get into it

The Americans.
Billions and Designated Survivor are decent shows, but they don't hold a candle to The Americans.
Start with the first episode and don't look back.

Great suggestions and I will definitely be referencing this constantly.
I forgot to mention that I tried Breaking Bad, Billions, and Shameless and didn't care for any of them.
I know I am very picky - one prominent annoying character and I'm out.
I might give Shameless another try only because I didn't see it from the beginning unlike the other two. So maybe if I start with S1 E1 I will enjoy it.
Oh, and I tried my own suggestion of Divorce with SJP and I wanted to puke after the first 20 minutes so that's out.
I'm impossible lol.
