Form dress for work black tie gala
I am stumped on where to find a simple long dress for a black tie gala for work. No sequins, no split, not too low. Went to macys, bloomingdales, nordstrom. No luck . I would prefer a blue, black or purple nothing bright. But can't find anything. Any other suggestions where you look?? Budget is $150-$200.
Found some options on rent the runway but makes me nervous not getting the dress until 2 days before and maybe not liking the fit.

I was in JC Penney recently and they have a surprisingly nice selection of dressy dresses.

They have a store in the city- rent the runway. You can try on and reserve a dress in advance!

I found TWO dresses at Lord & Taylor yesterday. Great deals too!! thanks!!! One is Blue one is Black. Now I just have to decide which one to wear.
