Schools for Emotionally Disturbed High School Students
My daughter is 15. She is classified as ED. This year she was sent to a special school The Summit School in Queens. Her issue is anxiety but the school is more geared for kids on the spectrum. We are trying to evaluate a school for next year.
Does anyone have any comments on the Iris Wolfson school (Greenvale) or the Village School (great Neck)????
She is very anxious and OCD personality/perfectionist. School refusal and shaking is the mental issues. she also has a chronic pain issue.
Any input is greatly appreciated!!!!

You should join the Long Island Special needs groups on Facebook. I bet you will get more people that have experience with this!

Both are fantastic programs. Students in my district have had particularly great success at the village school. Also check out the shelter rock academy (Herricks school district)
