How to handle? New neighbors- dog barks all day!
Moved in, nice ppl. I happen to know them coincidentally. 2 houses over, I clearly can see into her yard and vice versa.
Their dog is outside on deck and barks for hrs. its horrible.
Unfortunately the other neighboring ppl hear it and have complained as well.
Do we do an anonymous nice note?

Is he left outside all day while no one is home? If that is the case then I would say something.
If they are home and he is well cared for give it a little time. His barking maybe him just getting used to his new surroundings. And as he gets more comfortable the barking will subside.

Its been 3 months. Yes they are home.
He stands on deck and just barks. I assume to be let in.
They are having work done too so IDK if the workers who are leaving him out.
tough but its quite annoying.

our neighbors have a new dog that has been doing the same for 6 months or so its horrible we just put stones up so he cant see our dogs and it helped.
they leave him out all the time (not sure if they are home)
we got a new fence and havent heard the dog since.... i hope it didnt get out !

I bought this for a neighbor's dog (i live in a building and the dog is across the hall; i think this device is made for outdoors). it seems to have helped (I hang it on my doorknob in a bag when the dog starts barking, generally when his family is not home). I also complained to the owners but they just respond saying "oh we'll be home soon" when i message her on fb that her dog is going crazy.

I'd say I noticed a decrease in barking. I don't leave it on all the time because someone would probably steal it off my door.

I'd be careful with an "anonymous" note. I feel like in a residential community, you never know who is watching. You also don't know if these people have cameras set up. I have The Ring (which is basically a video doorbell which also detects motion) so if someone came to my door to leave an anonymous note, I'd see them doing it right on my cell phone.
Just something to keep in mind.

I agree.
Also, just be an adult and talk to your neighbor if it's annoying. I bet they don't realize.

Ugh... we have this problem. Its even in very early in the morning. we spoke to them. It helped at first but its still a problem

We have this problem too! Had no idea it was so common. New neighbors moved in around Thanksgiving and they leave their dog outside ALL the time. It barks constantly and drives us nuts. We are dog lovers and don't blame the dog - they bark, it happens. We just hate how they leave him outside constantly when he very clearly wants to go back in. UGH.

I had one similar for my own dogs. Worked for a little bit then they just got used to it and didn't care about it lol.

Your town probably has a noise ordinance. I would check to see how long they are supposed to be outside barking. If it is past the time then I would report it if this has been an ongoing issue.
