When do you open your pool?
Since I'm due at the end of the month we bought dd#1 one of those intex pools. She's going to want to go in it if I put it up now and it's still chilly.

We opened ours May 15th. We have a heater. It is freezing if we don't put the heater on

We opened ours last week just because we wanted to get it out of the way, but it's a waste.
It's wayyy too cold and even if I wasted 200 gallons of propane to heat it the 25 degrees it would need to make it doable, the air is too cold, damp and miserable to make us even WANT to go in it.
DD tried this weekend and her lips were blue.

When do you open your pool?
We have an intex and put it up around now depending on our schedule. If the water is warm DS will go in no matter what the outside temp is.

When do you open your pool?
We opened it last week. Definitely aren't using it yet, but we have the solar cover on it, so hopefully it will heat up a little bit with the little glimpses of the sun we are getting every third day

LOL yeah I was going to say- what heat source are you using on that solar cover a sunlamp? 
But the sun will shine for a whopping 17 minutes today according to one weather report I saw this AM.
So better get in your Vitamin D while you can!

When do you open your pool?
We opened the pool a few weeks ago (a few days before we had those 2 really hot days). Our kids have already gone in it 5 or 6 times. They do not care what the weather is or the pool temp is. We have a heater but we lowered it to 70 because we never thought they would swim and they still invited friends over to swim!

Kids are awesome. Swimming trumps all else LOL
Me, if the water is under 82 I'm like - damn it's too cold!
I probably should have invested in a hot tub instead of a pool, I'd get so much more use out of it!
