Check in for the week of the 22nd

Instead of just making it a Monday check in, I'll start it on Monday and anybody can check in all week. I know some of us only sign on once in a while so I figured this would be easier.

How are you?

Do you have any updates?

Questions?

If you are new please introduce yourself and tell your "story" or whatever you want to share.

Check in for the week of the 22nd

How are you?

I'm doing okay. I went to a party this weekend and got asked by MANY people when we are having a second. People were like grilling me so that was fun... We have been trying for a second for a year now with no luck. Having my son took a LONG time so I really have no answers for these people.

Do you have any updates?
Nothing new to report. I'm waiting on AF so I can start my FET. Of course I'm nervous about how baselines will look. Cysts are always messing me up so I'm hoping they don't delay me again. As for the FET I'm feeling that its a long shot because I only have two day 3 embryos but I'm trying to balance being realistic and hopeful.

Questions?
Any day 3 success stories after not having success with day 5s? I've only done day 5s so I'm nervous.
Anybody use Neupogen? Thoughts?

Looking forward to reading all the updates!

Re: Check in for the week of the 22nd

I've been lurking here. I have two dc but I've been trying for 13 months for a third. Dc 2 took about a year. I also have had a few chemicals and one miscarriage at 10 weeks last summer. For the past 9 months I've been getting sonos and a biopsy because since my miscarriage I haven't been fully shedding my lining. Two months ago I was put on birth control to try to thin my lining. I finished bc and my period never came! It's been super frustrating, but I have my next sono on Thursday.

My only question has been is there anyone that has had this problem of a thickened lining and what did you do for it?

Check in for the week of the 22nd

I am having my SHG tomorrow which is always a joy and just waiting for appointments to come. Seems like time is moving fast and slow at the same time.

Re: Check in for the week of the 22nd

Hoping DH's surgery is next week!!! Scheduler said he could be bounced to July which made me insane. Nothing new otherwise. Haven't gone for any consults for myself just yet. Focusing on my DS graduating elementary school so things have been crazy to say the least. Hope everyone is doing well!!

Welcome. Sorry about your losses and what you are going through. I don't know too much about thick lining so hopefully someone chimes in. Maybe a D and C for the lining? I'll ask around. What is your dr saying? Have they put you on any meds?

That's exciting! Can you tell us what a modified natural IVF cycle entails?

I hear yah! How old is your DC? What are your reservations about starting back up? I went back to my RE when my DS (IVF baby) was 1.5. Now he is 2.5 and still no baby. At this rate I should have waited another year and just started now. I hate all of this but I'm giving it a shot again. I wish I could wait longer but time is not on my side and I have low AMH. I'm hoping things are easier for you your second time around.

Sure! So a modified natural goes off your own cycle.. once a follicle is 15-16, you start Gani to prevent Ovulation, and add some FSH for follicle growth for two days or so and then trigger at 19-20 mm.

Interesting! Why do you do this instead of traditional IVF?

Less meds = better quality egg!

My DS just turned 3. I honestly just can not decide if I want another child. Some days, I really want one and other days, I am content with having an only child.

If we TTC again, I will only do one fresh round of IVF. I do not have it in me to do more.

I totally get it! One is a lot of work and I can't imagine how I would manage two yet I really want another. What does your hubby think about trying again? It is good you have your limits. I have no insurance left so we can't try forever. I figure I'll give it a couple more tries and then I give up.

Wishing you the best of luck. I totally get it. I did my first IVF last month since 3 years ago. I felt like a newbie all over again.
