Rice cooker?
What are the benefits vs cooking on the stove? Can I start it a few hours before dinner and just forget about it until we're ready to eat?

Re: Rice cooker?
I don't have a stand alone rice cooker, but I have an electric pressure cooker and use it for rice. It makes such good rice and you don't really need to think about it. For me, the quality of the rice makes it worth it.

Re: Rice cooker?
I don't have one because we don't eat enough rice to warrant one (Plus space considerations) but I think it cooks the rice a lot better and more perfectly than cooking on the stove.

Rice cooker?
I have one and I never use it. IMO the rice is just as good on the stove and it doesn't save me time or anything

Re: Rice cooker?
I have one for past 2-3 years. i use it a few times a week. my dh buys the big bags of rice from Bjs. Cooks in about 15-20 min. jus add rice and water and turn on and I don't have to worry about it while cooking everything else
