Check in for the week of July 10th

What's new?
Today will be day 12 of stimming. This cycle is going very slow. I have about 6 follicles over 10. Follicles: 14.5mm, 16mm, 10.5mm, 15mm, 15.5mm, 10.5mm. The issue is my Estrogen isn't getting high its only at 386. It did more than double from 3 days ago. Last cycle which didn't go well my Estrogen was over 1000 by now. I'm worried I won't get many mature eggs. They are saying retrieval Friday or Saturday.

How are you feeling?
Stressed. I'm hoping my Estrogen increases and I get more embryos than last time. This is probably my last cycle and of course there are always issues. I'm worried about throwing away more money and getting no embryos.

Questions?
What do you think about my numbers so far?

Looking forward to reading all the updates.

Thanks. I'm really stressed. Paying out of pocket adds on a layer of stress for me. I NEED to have something to work with.

I can't even imagine paying out of pocket. My friend's insurance doesn't cover anything and I know it's a struggle for her.

Re: Check in for the week of July 10th

I had my first consult today. It was pretty standard I guess. Met with Dr, then he did a sono, then they drew blood from me and DH. DH is scheduled for SA next week and I'll go back on day 3 of cycle for blood work and will schedule FemVue sono.

I'm excited to get the ball rolling but also nervous that DH won't cooperate. He is perfectly happy as a family of 3 (we have a 3 y/o DD, conceived naturally after 4 months of TTC) and he doesn't necessarily want another child. I, on the other hand, have been desperate for another baby for 2 years now. After we met with the Dr and were waiting in the exam room for my sono, he said he didn't want to have assistance, have me take meds, do IUI/IVF, etc. But, he did have them take his blood and he did schedule the SA so I guess that's a step in the right direction.

How long does it typically take to get results from SA? I forgot to ask. TIA!

Im sitting here in the TWW... of course over analyzing every twinge, cramp, EVERYTHING.. I never have acne and of course this morning i have a nice big pimple on my chin so my head goes to OH THATS A SIGN! Clearly I need to not think about it all. My RE told me that with injectables your period can come within 10 days so if we make it past day 10 than there is hope.. day 10 is Saturday.. so now i just sit and wait.

It's so hard not to read into symptoms. I haven't started meds or anything yet but almost every month I swear I'm pregnant and then AF shows up. Good luck! Waiting is so hard Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thank you. Waiting on my levels. Sono showed MANY follicles but the issue is a bunch are small so I'm not sure how many mature we will actually get. Continuing meds to give them a chance to catch up. I hate to waste so many follicles.

Yeah it sucks. Luckily monitoring is covered. I mean IUIs are covered but those don't work for me. I had IVF coverage but I went through that pretty quickly. Also went through my meds coverage. Now I pay for IVF OOP which sucks but its the only thing that may work for us. I wish we were a mandated state like NJ. I feel like I'm throwing away money when it doesn't work. I can't even go to the RE I want to because I can't afford it there.

A lot of men see all this differently. We did IVF for our son and my husband was on board. I basically didn't stress him with details and I took the burden of it all. With your husband that may be the way to go. Literally just have him show up and you take care of the rest. My husband would probably be okay with just one child but I long for another. I worry at some point he will say enough is enough. He hates what I've put my body through the last 5 years and he thinks we are lucky to have one child. If you want to talk FM me.
