Custom closet
I'm turning one of the bedrooms into a closet/dressing room. Did anyone do this and can share the cost? I went to the container store the other day and saw they do this but it was 30k for pressboard. Yikes! Not looking for anything fancy, just materials that won't need replacement after a year.
Any advice is also appreciated!

My cousin is a consultant for Tailored Living, but in Suffolk County.
Tailored Living does custom closets, garages, etc.

Not sure of pricing at all but someone I went to High school wit works for a company called Transform in Westchester. She always posts pictures of custom closets they do which are gorgeous. No clue on pricing though

You can look into IKEA. You can completely customize the shelving, drawers, etc.

I've used Ikea closet shelving and it has held up great. I've also used closetmaid stuff and it fell apart.

I used Closets by Design for 2 closets- one was a large walk in with drawers and shelves. It was just under 3k total.

I wanted to do custom closets but they're so $$. We went to Home Depot and got closer systems and had our workers install them. It was super easy and much cheaper. I believe they're Martha Stewart brand. Check Loews also they are slightly higher quality than HD.

will do! there about 20 other things we are doing to the house that I told DH, Ill temporarily buy $30 clothing racks from amazon. i wear the same clothes every day anyway. black. lol

I did this. But DH did it all himself.
Bought the closet system at Home Depot, installed it, did flooring, paint, etc
So I can't speak to the price to have it done.
We kept ours super simple too

Go look at The Container Store. They are doing more custom stuff, not just their Elfa system.
We are using Huntington Closets and I believe they service Westchester. They were reasonable, but that was for a small closet. I'm not sure how much it would be for an entire room.

One of my son's room is tiny, so we really had to maximize his closet space to be able to utilize it for drawers and more hang space etc. DH did a lot of research and looking online. Ultimately he bought the Closetmaid system from Home Depot and installed it himself. We love it.

Really?!?! For their new line or the Elfa system. DH had a closet and custom desk made in his apartment before we were married and it definitely did not cost that!
