Favorite place in Florida for Vacation
So I thought it would be a good idea to pick a few states and ask people to comment on their favorite cities / towns / villages in these states. Why they like them..where they stay when they are there..places to visit and eat...
I think it would be helpful when others are searching to find one thread where others had commented on that particular state.
I was thinking of doing Vermont. NH, Maine, Boston, PA, NC and SC etc...
So I am starting with Florida. I think if your favorite place in Florida is Disney / Orlando then you may not need to comment further as there are 1000000000 posts on Disney on here. BUT if you would like to add something different then go ahead.
So who would like to share their Florida faves with us today?

Re: Favorite place in Florida for Vacation
Clearwater Beach- Sandpearl Resort. It is ridiculous. Just luxury and amazing. Private beach, stunning sunsets on the gulf of Mexico, great food. My happy place
Fort Lauderdale- Love Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville- brand new and just stunning. Not at all what you would think of Jimmy Buffet's. Very luxurious but also very family friendly.
Miami Area- Ritz Carlton,Key Biscayne- stayed for a work conference a few years back and never wanted to leave.

Re: Favorite place in Florida for Vacation
Naples: great beach, sand dollars and dolphins off the hotel coasts, nice zoo, nice botanical gardens, great seafood, older scene but family friendly
Fort Lauderdale: nice beach with waves, lots of activities, pirate bar, nightlife, fun restaurants
Sarasota: quiet, nice calm beach, really fun walkable restaurants, amazing aquarium

Key West- we loved the vibe and thought it was so quaint and pretty.
Miami- we like cities and thought this one had everything- beaches, restaurants, etc. Esp. South Beach.

Re: Favorite place in Florida for Vacation
Every area is so different to me!
-Obviously, I love Orlando (just for Disney) but that is WORK not vacation, LOL.
-Delray Beach. My favorite beach in the USA.
-Miami. I love just walking around, eating outside at the outdoor cafes on the street, nice shopping, eating and the beach. It has a nice vacation vibe and felt like I was overseas how they do the dining there. Food heaven.
-Sanibel Island. Never been but want to go.
-The Keys. Never been but want to go too.

Yes! They have beach toys to borrow every day for the beach. They have games for the kids poolside each day. Once a week I think they have Mermaid Bedtime Stories where a mermaid girl will sit in the pool and read the kids a book. Smores and bonfires each night on the beach Totally family friendly and fine for the baby too- a baby can really go anywhere and while the baby won't be able to enjoy the kid's amenities the point is there are a lot of families there as well.
The place is BEAUTIFUL. The service is incredible. They pamper you so much. Great restaurants. Kids eat free for breakfast on the buffet.
Amazing sunsets on the gulf- you can have dinner at the nicer restaurant and get seated by the picture windows to watch the sunset or even sit outside on the sand for the sunset at the more casual restaurant
Totally go!
