omg you're pregnant?? congrats! I have the city select and LOOOOOVE it. I keep it in my garage and use it for walks around town (i go walking every morning with my neighbor). I had a graco snap and go in my trunk for the first 8 months because it was lightweight and easy to snap the car seat into it when going out shopping. After she grew out of the infant seat/snap and go at 8 months, I bought a maclaren umbrella stroller to keep in my trunk for shopping. I don't like lugging a big stroller around in my trunk all the time

congrats! I hate my baby jogger city premier (which is the exact same as the select just can not be converted into a double) I find it to be way too heavy and bulky. It's fine to leave in my garage but to take in & out of the car is ridiculous. its heavy & way too bulky. I did a lot of research but apparently not enough. I wish I would have got something that was lighter & slimmer. I wish I would have got the Peg Perego booklet or the city mini.

I highly suggest a snap & go however. It was so convenient & easy. One of the best shower gifts I received

eta: I also love my McLaren triumph umbrella stroller.

I LOVE the look and feel of the Silver Cross but its heavy! ( 33.3 lbs!)

also looking at the uppababy vista but its 28.5 lbs

Im really weak and im torn on which to get.

anything out there with a bassinet thats LIGHT? EDD is mid December so will I even NEED a bassinet? It will be too cold for walks..Is it worth it for months 3-6?

Consider the UB Cruz then if the basinet is not important to you. Super light. Smooth ride. Loved it. The only reason I got rid of it was bc I needed one that would convert to 2.

Congratulations.

I never had a stroller with a bassinet. When my boys were little, I just put them in their infant seat in the stroller for walks.

Congratulations! I liked my Stokke Scoot. It is made for city living so it's pretty compact but has a decent size basket underneath. I never got the bassinet attachment because when they are newborns (especially at that time of year) you end up using the infant car seat and just snapping it on the stroller frame.

bassinet is useless! I had DD in July and thought I'd use it, and she hated it because she spit up alot as a newborn and needed to be propped up, and she didn't like bouncing around all over the place in it. I used it like 3 times and that was it

So.....

I have the Chicco Cortina Travel system. I know Chicco updated their travel systems so maybe look at their new ones. I loved the Chicco infant seat and it was always easy to click right into the stroller. I use the stroller a lot and it's held up well.

Congrats! I have the vista and like it. I liked having the bassinet. I didn't think I'd use it because my DD is also a Dec baby but I actually used it quite a bit. Honestly, unless we do a long day trip we don't use the stroller much. Once she could sit up she'd sit in restaurant high chairs, shopping carts, etc. and now that she walks we almost never use it. I feel like there's less strollering in the suburbs unless you're taking a lot of walks.

My friend has the Cruz and likes it. She borrowed my bassinet but she also had the infant insert for the rumble seat.

I never used a bassinet attachment. I had a travel system where I just clicked the infant seat into the stroller, but mainly when we were out I used the snap n go.... For umbrella strollers I had a maclaren... when that broke I bought a Summer Infant 3D Lite.

Same. I have the Chicco Bravo travel system. I've always liked it a lot. I also have the Summer Infant 3D Lite. Both are great!

My only issue with the Chicco is that the canopy is too short! My DD is like a vampire- she's pasty white and hates the sun!

Re: So.....

I was such a minimalist due to limited space so I only did a snap and go for when she was newborn/infant and when she was old enough to sit up better, the City Mini. LOVED that thing

All those travel systems were too much, too bulky and too complicated for me

LOVE my City Select. I don't find it all that heavy and the basket underneath is huge...we fit so much under there. I also like that it fully reclines, and that you can turn it into a double. It's easy to maneuver as well.

I also love our Britax B-Nimble but it is now discontinued.

Re: So.....

love the graco click connect. its a travel system, but it detaches so its lightweight.
when the baby is in the car seat, it works just like a snap-n-go.
and when the baby is out of the infant car seat stage, it has a regular stroller attachment that connects.
I also like how I can put it in with baby facing me or out.
I am not strong, and I can manage this system. its held up real well too.

Re: So.....

Congrats!!! I have 4 strollers so if I were to do it all over again. I'd get the snap & go for the first year or so of life & then the City Select since I always planned on having more than 1 child. It can be a single for when you still have 1 kid & then a double stroller by adding the extra seat.

This. I loved my city mini. I had the double for my twins and then got a single for my 3rd. I love that I could close it with 1 hand.

When they were babies, I used the car seat and the snap-n-go frame. Loved that thing. It was awesome to transition them without waking them (my kids loved to fall asleep in the car).

BTW, Congrats!Chat Icon

Congrats!!!! We have the Vista but I needed something with great wheels that was sturdy because we were in Brooklyn and most of the streets where we lived were cobblestone. I love the Vista though. It handles so well and I don't find it too heavy. I'm still lifting it in and out of the car 8 months pregnant with no problem.

I also loved having a bassinet, but I had a summer baby. We still used the bassinet for DD to sleep in for the first 2 months and she loved it so much we are hoping to use it for this baby as well.

If you want something a little lighter and don't feel like you need the bassinet, I would go with the Cruz.

Uppababy's customer service is amazing and anytime I've had a problem they just send me a whole new part no questions asked.

CONGRATS!!!!

If I had to do it all again, I'd get the Snap & Go and then City Mini GT. I LOVED the GT. It was light, easy to fold and just awesome.

Congrats! Love the City Select and Vista. Bassinet is useless, IMO. When they are little I clicked the car seat directly into the stroller.

I love my uppababy. I used it for all 3 kids. Love the big wheels and the space to put things underneath. I'm still using it for my 2 year old and it's 7 years old!
