Jones Beach question
Which is the easiest field to go to with kids? I'm trying to avoid lots of walking to get to the water. We have gone to field 2 because you can walk right out to the beach. Is that the easiest field to take kids to? I try not to carry much, but sometimes my youngest gets tired and I end up carrying him a bit.

Jones Beach question
I don't find any of the fields at Jones Beach to be convenient with children. All of them seem like a schlep. Are you by chance a resident of the town of Oyster Bay? We go to Tobay and find it much easier. Sometimes we go to the bay side and sometimes the ocean (middle tunnel).

Re: Jones Beach question
Thanks, but no I'm not a resident of Oyster Bay. My parents are, so maybe one day I'll have my mom come with us to try that one. I think they would like the sprinkler park area that is there too.

Just to clarify, you don't have to live in Oyster Bay. You have to live within the town of Oyster Bay. I live in Farmingdale but am eligible to buy the season pass. Yes, the spray park is great! Maybe try Point Lookout? My SIL prefers that beach when going with my nieces and nephews.

Re: Jones Beach question
I always thought Field 6 was the easiest and that's why it filled up first. But I haven’t been there in years

Re: Jones Beach question
I think no matter what parking lot you choose for JB, it's a schlep.
Are you TOH resident? I like Point Lookout. Beach is very close the parking lot. I think it's $15-$20 per car to get in (if you are TOH).

Re: Jones Beach question
Point Lookout is only $10 for TOH residents. $25 for non-residents. It's perfect with kids.

Re: Jones Beach question
Lido West is $10 for TOH residents and it's an even shorter walk from the parking lot to the beach. I like it better than Pt. Lookout
