Direct TV
I hate cablevision... I've had Fios and hated them too. I'm looking for an alternative.
If not for the fact that my sons watch a LOT of sports, I'd scrap "cable" altogether and use Netflix and Hulu. So I'm looking for an alternative. I currently have cable vision and they're increasing rates again. I need tv, phone and internet... anyone use Direct TV?
How much does it cost and do you like it? I wish we had other options.

Re: Direct TV
The problem is, if you want high-speed Internet, you're basically stuck with either Cablevision or FiOS. I have Dish Network for TV, but I still have FiOS for internet.
The satellite companies don't really have an Internet solution, other than piggybacking off one of the other providers.

Direct TV
We've had Optimum, Fios and now have Direct TV. The best service by far was Fios! However, Fios was definitely the most expensive and really wouldn't work with me once the introduction offers expired. DirectTV we have had bad luck with, and as mentioned, the price goes up a ton for the second year of the contract. We switched because we wanted a lower price and b/c we wanted the Football package, which unfortunately is only on DirectTV. The customer service is AWFUL, and we haven't had great TV Service either.
We still have FIOS for internet.

Re: Direct TV
I have Direct TV and have no complaints. Have had them for years. My TV never goes out. The only thing is, we have Cablevision for phone and internet.

Re: Direct TV
i hate directv finally went back to cable.
We lost signal everytime it was cloudy.
sports channels are SO MUCH more money.
They lie about credits and adjust them on you (dollar amounts not the length of time).

Direct TV
I love direct tv. It does go out occasionally when its extremely windy but worth it. Every year I call and say I'm going to cancel unless they give me a deal, that never worked with cablevision. Currently pay $45/month. I have optimum for internet $60 and I use magic jack for home phone, which is only $30 for the entire year. I also have the firestick and have thought about getting rid of tv all together but I figure as long as it stays under $50 I'll keep.
