Well looks like I had another chemical. This is now two in a row. One from a frozen transfer and now one from a fresh. Both had great starting betas.

Nest Steps?

On a break for now. I'm not sure what to really do next. I don't want to give up but I'm getting really tired. I wish I knew what was wrong.

I have an appointment with Dr. Kofinas this month to see if he can figure out what is going wrong. My last three transfers were miscarriage, chemical, and chemical. I can't do any more transfers before I figure out what is wrong.

How are you feeling?
Defeated. Tired. Angry. Jealous. Like I wasted lots of time and money...

Questions or concerns?
I did a saline sono about a year ago and all was clear but after that the three failed transfers. Thinking of doing a hysterscopy and/or d and c and/or endo scratch...thoughts?

I hope you all are doing better than I am.

My homecysteine level came back elevated last week so they had me fast today and took more blood. They told me that it can cause miscarriages. I also read that it can be sign of atherosclerosis which is scary b/c my dad passed away suddenly from a heart attack 2 years ago. Hopefully my fasting numbers come back lower.

I also went for my FemVue today and both tubes are open and everything looks good. Dr. gave diagnosis of unexplained infertility Chat Icon

We are going to do an unmedicated IUI this month just to try something since it's too late for Clomid. I'm not really getting my hopes up. If it doesn't work we will move onto medicated cycle next month. We only plan to try 2-3 IUIs before moving on to IVF.

That sounds like a good plan! I hate the diagnosis of unexplained...that was mine for a while...like just figure out what is wrong! I hope this IUI works for you!

Thank you! I've been back at this for a year. I get good strong betas but then they don't pan out. I have some frozen embryos and don't want to waste them without having a plan. I'm worried because I was already on almost every immune med. I'm hoping they find something else wrong with me...crazy I want something to be wrong.

I'm on folgard for my homecysteine levels. not sure if it was high or low. probably high.

Folgard is nothing more than a combination of B vitamins and folic acid

Thank you. I go in tomorrow morning for monitoring so I am going to ask if they got my fasting numbers back. I know there are B vitamins and folic acid in my prenatals but maybe not enough?

Re: Check in for the week of August 7th

Went in for monitoring again today. I have a 17.5 and a 16 on the left side and bunch of small ones on the right. Lining is 10.4. Today is CD14. Waiting to hear about BW and when I will trigger for my first IUI.

I was prescribed Folgard to lower my homocysteine level. She said it's a little elevated for the fertility world but if my regular Dr. saw this level he wouldn't bat an eye. It was 8 b/c it is considered normal...they just like it lower for IF treatments. I think they prescribe Folgard for 8 and above.

ETA: Back for more monitoring tomorrow.

You are getting close. Having two follicles in play for IUI is good!

I went back for monitoring today. My 17.5 grew to 20 but my 16 dropped to 14.5. Lining is 10.6. She said b/c I'm not on meds that it's normal to only drop one egg so the fact that the smaller one dropped off isn't abnormal. Hopefully the 20 does the trick!
