menstrual migraines
I've noticed the past few months that I've been getting migraines the day before my period and for the first 2-3 days of my period.
I've never had them before the past 6 months. My birth control hasn't changed.
Is this normal? is it just me getting older?

could be normal it was for me. You hormones might be changing and causing the migraines, i always got one right before and sometime still do. If it really is new for you I would see your MD just to rule out. feel better

Re: menstrual migraines
I get them. Started about 3 years ago as my menstrual cycle changed. It’s my usual warning that AF is a day or so away. Happens when progesterone drops. So it’s probably just your body feeling the hormonal shift
I’d ask the dr about it only because you’re on birth control and nothing has changed with that - why is your body reacting differently ? Maybe need a BC change?

I get them almost clockwork 24-36 hours before my period starts. It's my monthly reminder that my period is coming. (in addition to the bloating, sore boobs, gas, etc ) I didn't get them until I was maybe 34? My mom also got them at this age. I think it's normal, unfortunately.
I say it all the time - men don't know how good they have it

It never happened to me before and then it started after I had DS at 38. Now I get a headache the day before almost every period. Thankfully it's just the 1 day for me and don't continue for days. Not sure why it started and I haven't been on birth control for over 10 years.

It happens to me when I go from the active pill to the placebos. The drop in hormones causes it I guess. I get them every single month.
