We have it and it's great! But every plan is different so it really matters what your specific plan is.

Re: United Healthcare Oxford?
My dad has had it for years as a Medicare supplement. Great insurance coverage. Better than my in-law's GHI.

I think they said it is a high deductible but the company contributes to it. It's so hard to know until you have the insurance.

THIS. We have had it for years. All of our docs and specialists accept it but our plan has a very high deductible

Ours does too. There are several different plans so it really depends. But it is widely accepted which is helpful when you need specialists.

We purchase it ourselves ( we are small business owners) It's the gold pkg, I go through a broker who does all of our finances. For just the 2 of us it's $1,744 per month (disgusting)
Co Pays are $30 - $60. Urgent Care is $75. ER I think is $250 now? We need referrals for specialists. Deductible is for hospitalization only. I want to say it's $2k each? So we don't have ded for dr visits, testing or RX. Just for hospital stay/surgery. We used to have the highest one without the ded, but the monthly price is unbelievable. It's cheaper to pay the ded if god forbid we need hospital care.
