I don’t know, but I’d never walk out of the house like that. It may just be a German thing, but it’s frowned upon if you walk out in PJs and flip flops. When I go to the supermarket, for example, I make sure to wear clothes that are put together. That doesn’t mean I can’t wear jeans, but sweats are unacceptable.

It must be a German thing because you should see what I see out in public in America. It would make people in Germany faint if going out in sweats is frowned upon!

I was I Kmart today. My son has Pyjama day Friday and they school is asking if you wear PJ's you bring a new pair to donate to the Childrens hospital so I went there to hopefully get a deal...
Anyway - there was a lady there saying how cute the pyjama pants were - so nice you could even wear them to go out!!!! My inner self was yelling Nooooooo no you can't - please people, wear actual pants!!!!

Thank you! To be fair, I wore my pajama pants went I went to the dump/recycling place the other day. I got some strange looks, but it was the dump, so I didn’t care.
In Australia, some people walk around barefoot— even in supermarkets . That used to bother me a lot.

Not just Germany, I think it's a European thing. When I have relatives visit they're always amazed and grossed out by the way Americans dress in general (pajama pants and slippers to the supermarket). When I go there they freak out if I wear slippers outside the house

I think you are right about it being a European thing now that I think about it. But the thing is she is from Ukraine. I would think she would have grown up with that mentality of not leaving the house like that.
But either way, I still think she is gorgeous. I just don’t like her outfit and I think this isn’t a very good pic of her.

Yea flip flops in public is a huge no no in Europe. Whenever I visit Greece my cousins always tease me when I wear flip flops. They’re only acceptable at the beach, and that’s pushing it. My mom calls flip flops shower shoes! Lmao. In the villages some showers and bathrooms are outdoors so you would wear your flip flops or in other words shower shoes!!
