Dr suggestions needed - adhd
My 4 year needs to be evaluated for adhd. I was given a number to Cohens for the developmental pediatrician but the earliest appt they have is June, which I’m booking. But I’m looking for an earlier appt if possible.
I was given a number in BABYLON to Dr Silverman but they no longer are treating children with adhd.
I also need the number to a behavioral psychologist. Haven’t heard back from my pediatrician with any referrals.
Trying to stay in suffolk but will travel to Nassau.
Any recommendations?

My sons see a developmental ped at cohens/ LIJ. I do take them to new Hyde park and I live in port Jeff so it is a drive but their smithtown location has such limited appointments. I was able to get my appointments within a few weeks

My sons see a developmental ped at cohens/ LIJ. I do take them to new Hyde park and I live in port Jeff so it is a drive but their smithtown location has such limited appointments. I was able to get my appointments within a few weeks
Thanks. They are sending me the paperwork and after I send it back will make the Appt. I’ll tell them to put me into whatever office they can as I really don’t want to wait to June.

Thanks. They are sending me the paperwork and after I send it back will make the Appt. I’ll tell them to put me into whatever office they can as I really don’t want to wait to June.
Is it their 1991 Marcus Ave location? Joanne is the secretary she should be able to fit you in ASAP. I love the office. I had a concern recently with one of my twins, made the appointment and the secretary asked my concerns, she had the doctor call me back within a half hour, which I wasn’t expecting at all and spent an hour on the phone with me regarding my son. They are fantastic

Silverman is awful anyway.
We saw a neuro for ADHD when my son was 5. We saw Dr. D at the same office Silverman is in. She is great!

Either look into a neuropsychologist or a neurologist. A neurologist you will be able to get a quicker appointment with.

Yes that’s their number, just ask for the new Hyde park office for the appointment. Smithtown has limited hours and takes FOREVER

We got in much quicker by going to Cohens Riverhead office. We also did neuropsych testing somewhere else which we got an appt in a week but that was very expensive. Well worth it though!
