The actress who played Susie was supposed to play Sookie in Gilmore Girls but had a conflict.
I believe I saw somewhere that there will be a second season. I hope so.
Yeah she used to be married to the actor who played Jackson, sookie’s husband.

I last saw her on a show about being a nurse -- it was funny...forget the name

Nope. I watched it and it was just "eh" for me. It was kind of slow, and then I didn't like the turn it took in the last few episodes.
I did not love it the way everyone else on the this thread seems to have.

I finished the season because so many people have been raving about it. But I still didn't like the over acting on everyones part. I felt like I was watching a play if that makes any sense.

Still watching but we are watching slow. Definitely not binge worthy. I like it for the 1950's NY vibe, the furntiture, the fashion, the culture, and I find it mildly funny, but not bust out loud laughing funny.
And I can DEFINITELY see the relation to a play!

I tried watching it today. Watched 3 episodes and I couldn't take the accent and the over acting on everyones part. I turned it off

i love this show! i kept picturing my grandparents and great grandparents. Jewish immigrants in that era. my mom would have been that baby. i love the jewish humor...it's spot on

I'm only 3 episodes in but yeah, I feel like any minute she's going to start singing. It's weird but interesting. I'll prob finish watching the whole season.

She's also Ms. Celine in Gilmore Girls! She's in the one where Emily and richard renew their vows and in the revival at the very end.
