Traveling with baby
I traveled with both of my kids when they were around 10 weeks old. DS 1 went to Orlando, DS 2 went to Myrtle Beach.
Babies are easy to travel with - it's the bag of stuff you have to take along that is annoying.

Re: Traveling with baby
I took my DD to Florida right after her shots which was around 6-8 weeks. Super easy to fly with only downside is all the crap you have to take.

Re: Traveling with baby
That’s what I’m dreading! I pack super super light so I’m trying to figure out what gear to buy. The travel stroller we have is good from 6months+ which is a shame since it’s only 9lbs. So now we have to find the next best thing. So annoying

Re: Traveling with baby
Dd screamed pretty much 24/7 for the first year of her life so a plane or vacation was out of the question. All I wanted was sleep...or the sweet release of death. Whichever would come first....

I used a Snap and Go for the stroller but, also brought my Baby Bjorn which was a lot easier to maneuver and left my hands free.
We didn't bring any other gear with us. And we bought diapers and formula at our destination so we only packed what we needed for the flight with a little extra.

Re: Traveling with baby
We traveled with both of my kids when they were 4 months old.
We took the snap and go and the infant car seat and checked both at the gate. Make sure you get the gate check bags at BRU or BBB.
On the plane, we used the baby bjorn while in the air but they will not allow the baby to be in the bjorn on take-off and landing.
We traveled to Florida both times to see family, so I only packed diapers, wipes and formula for the plane ride. Then I purchased all of the above at Target once we got there. I also purchased a bottle brush, drying rack, cheap bouncy seat and bottled water for the formula.

Mine is 2 and hasn't gone anywhere because she has been crazy since the day she was born.

We live similar lives....ours had just turned 3 before we even attempted a road trip to DW and I wanted to go home night 1 because she was tantruming her head off in the hotel room. Plus she pitched a fit on one of the lines at the park and DH had to climb over barricades to get out of line with her. Fun times! First plane trip was 4 and it was a breeze. Finally!

Yep. Depends on the child. I never planned too much in advance. 2 traveled well. One did not. It gets easier at around 2. Personality will kick in but screaming for no reason kind of stops around then for mine at least... and they will play with electronics.

Traveling with baby
4 months. My ds was a crier his first year and never slept but I was not going to sit home because of it.
We fly a few times a year and I believe because we started early he is a good flier.

OMG, we haven't done a road trip and after your story we won't be for a very long time
We took her to the aquarium in Norwalk once and that was a sh!tshow. If I ever have an urge to show her fish again she's going to petco. Forget an actual trip!
