The Florida Project
Has anyone seen this yet?
I saw it a few weeks ago at MOMA and thought it was fantastic. The little girl it in (Brooklynn Prince) was amazing. I believe she won an award for her performance.
If you haven't seen it yet. I highly recommend it.
Here is the trailier
The Florida Project is a deeply moving and unforgettably poignant look at childhood. Set on a stretch of highway just outside the imagined utopia of Disney World, The Florida Project follows six-year-old Moonee (Brooklynn Prince in a stunning breakout turn) and her rebellious mother Halley (Bria Vinai, another major discovery) over the course of a single summer. The two live week to week at “The Magic Castle,” a budget hotel managed by Bobby (a career-best Willem Dafoe), whose stern exterior hides a deep reservoir of kindness and compassion. Despite her harsh surroundings, the precocious and ebullient Moonee has no trouble making each day a celebration of life, her endless afternoons overflowing with mischief and grand adventure as she and her ragtag playmates—including Jancey, a new arrival to the area who quickly becomes Moon’s best friend—fearlessly explore the utterly unique world into which they've been thrown. Unbeknownst to Moonee, however, her delicate fantasy is supported by the toil and sacrifice of Halley, who is forced to explore increasingly dangerous possibilities in order to provide for her daughter.

Right?!
I was happy to see Willem DeFoe get the nomination.
That little girl reminded me so much of my grand daughter. Like what my granddaughter would look like in a few years. It's crazy how much. So it was a little distracting.
I hope more people see it. I saw it at MOMA with the director. Interesting to hear him talk about it.
They used the other guest in the hotel as extras. Which I thought was great.

Where can you view it? Ever since Blockbuster went away I don't know how to see specific movies unless they happen to be on HBO or Netflix.

It's still playing in some smaller theaters.
And the Firestick has it for $15
I don't believe you can see it anywhere else yet.

Yes - just came on to say the same. It's availabile for purchase on firs for $15
And usually when something comes on fios on demand for purchase , within about a week it's available to rent too
