How do you keep the kids busy at home?
Just looking for ideas for home this week and while we're traveling with friends next weekend (kids are 3-6). It's day one of break and they've already done drawing, watercolor painting, legos.

How about making bread men? I got the idea on Jennifer Garner's Instagram lol. You make dough and shape it into people and bake it. We did that last week, and it came out great! My kids got a kick out of the people shapes, and they are much older than yours
Or you can make salt dough, bake it, then paint it.

Re: How do you keep the kids busy at home?
My ds and my husband could play with legos literally the ENIRE day, and then ask for 5 more minutes when it’s time for bed. My DS is so into it. Maybe get different sets, particularly more complicated ones, so they’ll be occupied trying to put them together.

Re: How do you keep the kids busy at home?
I feel like the day should be almost over by now lol. They played with slime, watched frozen, we made brownies, and are now watching the Olympics and playing legos again. My kindergartener has been updating her new diary with each activity.
I have been jotting down a list of ideas as I think of them. Otherwise my kids would be happy to be couch monsters all week long.

How do you keep the kids busy at home?
Everytime my kids tell me they’re bored, they must go into the playroom and choose one toy to donate. That keeps them from harrassing me! There are literally so many toys and activities on our house that they should be able to figure out something to do. I’ll play with them if they ask, but they need to name the activity (board game, coloring, Lego, etc)

How do you keep the kids busy at home?
Well today my 6 yr old had a friend over from 11-2. Then when he went home, we did Target, Trader Joe's, & Costco. Didn't get home until 5:30. Just got the last kid in bed...I am sure tomorrow will be a marathon day of TV, ipad, maybe going out in the snow for a bit. Whatever I need to do to keep us sane lol. DH is off on Monday so we will do something with the kids, not sure what yet.

How do you keep the kids busy at home?
my DS is 3.5 and never home much so he loves being home and just playing with his toys. He does like puzzles, coloring, painting, and play doh if I need something else. and TV. I'll admit he's been watching a little too much TV lately, but maybe it's hard since we can't go outside.

How do you keep the kids busy at home?
I'm not usually one to constantly throw activities at them but when the weather stinks or someone gets sick (again) sometimes it's nice to have ideas in your back pocket! Also, for our road trip toys will be limited to what everyone brings and sometimes the kids need a distraction or some direction when too many little girls and not enough sleep leads to easily hurt feelings lol.

Re: How do you keep the kids busy at home?
Play doh keeps my kids busy for a really long time. Also, giving them each a big bowl of water or snow keeps them busy forever. I put down a plastic table cloth and a towel under their chair. They use water proof toys.

My DS loves puzzles and legos - keeps him busy for hours and hours.
My DD is only 3, she loves playing with toys and she loved helping me make cookies today.

"wash" things in the sink. They can spend an hour easy w/ scrubbers, sponges and soap at the kitchen sink.
Go for walks, just bundle up and have a bucket to collect things in.
Play bubbles in the tub
