Disney help

Hi all. Disney Newbie here. We are going to be in Disney for 4 park days. My daughters will be 1 and 5 on this trip. We were thinking 2 day MK, 1 day AK and 1 day Epcot. We are staying off property.

Trip is pretty much for my 5 year old for her birthday gift. She wants to see Anna, Elsa, Minnie, Mickey, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Merida and Ariel.

Thinking of booking based on recommendations:

BBB - which package does everyone do? Not looking to spend a ton.
Be Your Guest dinner
Tusker River of Lights package
Ashkerus
Chef Mickey
1900 Park Fare

Opinions?

I have never done BBB but next time when I go I'm going to bring my own dress and do the basic package which is the The Crown Package.

Which meals are you doing at Akershus, Chef Mickey's and 1900 PF?
Are you on the dining plan?

We are going to do the basic and her grandmother is going to buy her a new dress with accessories before we go so that’s taken care of.

No, we are staying offsite so no dining plan

Don’t know what meals we plan to do I think it’s whatever our TA can get us since we are going the week of thanksgiving.

1900 PF for dinner is great! There's Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Step sisters. The Step Sisters are hilarious. I would try to get that dinner for sure.

We did Cinderella's Royal Table (MK) for breakfast. It was pricey but the food was so good and we had a great time. We also did Akershus for lunch and the food was just ok. If we were doing it again (and DD is 11 now and sadly not interested which I guess is good for our wallets!) I would do CRT over Akershus.

BBB was GREAT. We went in with our own dress and did the basic package close to closing at Disney Springs. It took over an hour and I feel that we got a special experience there because it wasn’t rushed and they took their time. Our fairy godmother was a blast and it was the highlight of our vacation. She found DD after closing walking around and it was just the best.

I have been to Be Our Guest twice and CRT once. Although the princesses come to the table (except at Be Out Guest), I thought it was WAY overpriced and the food was bad. It’s ok for a very $$$ sit down dining break, but we will not be doing it again. I’d much rather do something else with the $. The kids weren’t as excited as I thought they would be, and DD is nuts over princesses.

We always stay offsite, which I think gives you the ability to eat much better for a reasonable price. I’d pick one or two character meals to break up a day... I think instead of doing so many meals, extend your stay and just take a day to relax in between parks.

I thought the best princess and character interactions were simply at the character “stations”. We loved Rapunzel, Tiana was hysterical and had lots of fun with DD. Ariel is funny to watch as well and liked her in her grotto. Cinderella and Jasmine were just Ok. I’m sure it depends on the girl playing the character. We’ve seen tons of Mickeys and Minnie’s and they have never disappointed. Each experience was special and the kids loved it every time (even beyond realizing they weren’t real).

Same here.

We eat offsite more than onsite since there are a lot of options that are good and more reasonably priced (a lot of chains but, chains outside of this area are better).
