Aruba - palapa question
Are there any hotels where it's easy to get a palapa? I don't want to have to get up at 6am on my vacation just so I can get a beach chair. We are looking at going in August.

Aruba - palapa question
With kids or not? It was never a problem getting one at Bucuti & Tara Resort, but it's adults only there

Re: Aruba - palapa question
We stayed at Marriott ocean Beach club in November 2016 and never had an issue. Raddison was a little worse I think due to the distance between pool and beach.

With kids this time. We stayed at the Bucuti before kids and it is absolutely amazing.

Re: Aruba - palapa question
It probably depends on the season. I bet any school holiday like Spring break is nuts. Plus, young kids get up naturally with the sun :( I think August is low season... so you probably will have less of an issue no matter where you stay. We’ve gotten bumped up categories. Agree that we had luck at Hyatt and heard people who went last year that it was easy.

Aruba - palapa question
The Radisson (Now Hilton) has a policy that you can sign up for a palappa at 3pm. There is a short line, but then you pick your hut number for the next day. No worrying about waking up early. I preferred this. On the day or two we didnt sign up we were still able to get one it was just a further walk and farther from the water.
