They are all great states - what time of year are you thinking of going?

Maine. I went to Kennebunkport once and it left me wanting more of Maine. That being said, how much time do you have?

Maine. We went to Ogunquit and it was beautiful. We keep saying we need to go back.
My in laws live in Cape Cod and it’s nice too, but I like Maine better.

The drive up to Maine took me about 6-7 hours. I think I stayed 4 nights. But I can’t stand traveling in a car for more than 5 hours and then having to leave 2 days later. You may be different.

I actually suggest New Hampshire. Portsmouth is a great lil town with shops and restaurants. Your also close to Rye or Hampton if you wanted to go to the beach. Any ?s feel free to ask. I moved here from NY 4 years ago :)

Re: help me choose
I second New Hampshire, but the White Mountains region. Gorgeous there. We went to Santa's Village which is such an adorable amusement park, visited the National Forest, saw waterfalls, swam in some gorges, took a scenic ride on the Kancamagnus Highway, went to Clark's Trading Post. You could visit Mt. Washington and take the Cog Railway up. There is Wale's Tale waterpark. It's such a nice and scenic area! Riverwalk at Loon Mountain is a nice place to stay (we haven't been there yet).

Re: help me choose
Depends on what you are looking for. I thought Rhode Island was really close and had lots to do... from land to water especially in the summer.
Love Boston for MA. Was not a fan of Cape Cod.
Agree w Maine being a long drive... but it’s in my list for this summer...
