On Sunday, I'm going to an Easter Egg hunt for kids that is put on by the local single parent group. It's going to be outside so I wouldn't wear heels or even wedges b/c I don't want to walk around in those in the grass.

What's something that's stylish (in case there's a cute dad there) but also comfortable? Not just shoes - but an appropriate outfit? I don't wear jeans b/c my hips to butt ratio is too big and I haven't found any that don't leave a giant gap in the back.

I guess that makes a difference! It'll be partly cloudy and 59.

Re: fashion advice

I am like you and hate hate hate how I look in pants and jeans. They really just don't make jeans or pants to fit my body. Period.
So what about a casual dress with a leather or denim jacket over it?
And for shoes...do you wear flats?

Or if you don't mind pants and just can't wear jeans...how about black skinny pants ans flats?

Re: fashion advice

I agree with a casual dress, denim jacket, and flats. It’s up to you if you want to wear tights or not. I love tights, so I usually wear them.

What about a tunic and leggings with booties?

I’m a fan of nice tunics with leggings and stylish boots or low booties,at 59 degrees I think leggings and a lightweight tunic are perfect. A nice dress with jacket and flats is also a cute option!

Re: fashion advice

Have you tried the denizen jeans from target?

I hadn't thought of the dress and denim jacket option. I have a jacket that (when buttoned) accentuates my smaller waist. Thanks!

I'll just wear my mary jane flats. I wear them to work all the time so I know they're comfortable.

Re: fashion advice

Also- try trying on a few pairs of Curvy fit jeans... they seem to work best for my body type too.
I still haven't found a great pair, but I find that curvy fit I can get away with better than most.

I completely agree with the dress and jacket idea - perfect!! But I have to say, I do not agree with mary jane flats. Too matronly. What about a pair of boots?

I’m not really a jeans person so my go to is a pair of leather moto leggings. Not real leather but they look great.

Where did you get them?
I've been looking for something like that.
