you can't make this ish up!! not sure if i should laugh or cry

remember my cardiac scare from my first cataract surgery?
well, saturday, i opened the mailbox to find a lovely $535.00 bill from the cardiologist. gee, thanks. all because my general practitioner had a faulty ekg machine in her office.

then, i realize... i haven't received my eye drops to prepare for surgery. i call the special pharmacy; they're closed over the weekend. i leave a message.
i call the eye dr to let them know they didn't process my Rx. i get the answering service. the dr on call says, i don't need ANY eye drops and it's ok to go to the surgery without it. the answering service lady and i both agree that the office needs to know this, so she forwards the recording of the call to the office.

now, it's monday. i call the pharmacy again. they haven't received any info. they'll call dr.
the dr office calls me (AND THEY DON'T APOLOGIZE FOR NOT PROCESSING MY RX) and she says that they'll send the Rx to the closest pharmacy to my job.
now... cvs calls me to tell me that the drops aren't covered by my insurance and i have to pay full price for everything. the other pharmacy only billed me $35 for my copay!!!!

i call the dr office back and tell them all of this.
FINALLY, someone understands. the guy i spoke to acknowledges their role in all of this and he offers to have samples of the drops at the front office that i can have that will carry me through the entire regimen.

i'm ready to cry i'm so frustrated.

not a single step in these operations has been easy!!!!!

oh my goodness.

i am going to clock out for lunch, treat myself to something yummy. i will then pick up the drops and when i get home, my dinner will be a liquid dinner... and i will do all i can to rest before my surgery tomorrow.

Ugh sounds like an awful time! Enjoy your yummy lunch and try and believe that your getting the crappy time out of the way now, so that surgery and afterwards is smooth sailing!

Oh my! I hate when things like that happen, and it always seems to happen on weekends when you can't get a hold of someone.
