Interview clothing
So, I'll probably be on the interview trail in the near future.
I currently have a collection of eight pairs of black and dark gray pants, one pair of sturdy (read: orthopedic looking) flats, a pair of electrical rated work boots (yep), and about 15-20 plain dark colored t-shirts that I wear with one of six different dark colored cardigans. Everything is dark to avoid showing grease/sludge/dirt that I may pick up during the course of my day. This has been my standard "uniform" for the last ten years.
So yeah. I have not one outfit suitable for an interview.
My line of work is one that does not require suits and such (obviously), but I still always wear either a skirt suit or a pant suit to an interview.
Where can I find nice, flattering suits for a decent price? I'm not tall or short (5' 4"), weigh much more than I should (size 12ish and hate the way I look right now, so flattering is important), and large chested (32GG ) which usually means no button down shirts, lower necklines or v-necks. I seriously need to stop chickening out on the breast reduction already.
I guess I don't have a preference between pant suits or skirt suits.
Also, what are some good (comfortable!) pumps to wear with said suit?

Interview clothing
A couple years ago I bought a suit from Lands End, which was surprisingly good quality at a very reasonable price (you can usually get some % off). The pants even come in custom inseams. It's definitely not high fashion, but it gets the jobs done.

Re: Interview clothing
I think NY and Co might have some suit separates too. They used to at least.
And if you are truly in a field that is more casual and laid back, you could also probably get away with a nice dress and a blazer. Just another option
To answer your question about pumps- Corso Como is the most comfortable I have tried and I have HORRIBLE feet that hurt even in sneakers

Re: Interview clothing
Try Talbots for suit separates. At Macys or Lord & Taylor, I like Calvin Klein separates.
I hate that women's suits are polyester blends (expensive too), but men's suits are quality made of tropical weight wool.

I get my suits at Ann Taylor. The quality isn't what it used to be, but the suits are nice.

I just bought a dress and blazer from Macy’s, I hate skirts and it wasn’t terribly expensive! I wore it for my interview!

I agree, Macys has some good sales and I got a Tahari suit once, for cheap.

Thank you for all the responses... I have places to start now! Not looking forward to eventually interviewing again... it's nerve wracking. But having something to wear ready to go should help to eliminate that particular stress, anyway!

JC Penney. I got a suit there for $60. I only wear it for interviews so I wasn’t looking to spend a fortune.

Ann Taylor or banana republic for suits
My go-to blazer is from Banana Republic.
Ann Taylor, Macy's or even NY&Co. for suits works, too.
