Has anyone been to Hawks nest beach in CT?
We are renting a house for a week this summer. When we booked it looking at all the photos it looked clean. But they had the same photos up for several different properties. We render a waterfront property. If you’ve stayed there, do the houses appear to be clean? I’m a 4 star hotel type person. And even that’s pushing it. My worst nightmare came true when we found a bed bug in our daughters bed at a resort in Florida. So now I’m even more paranoid. I rather my own bed but realize i’ll never get to see any place if I am not willing to travel. I hate bed and breakfasts and I am not one to rent a house. If you’ve been to hawks nest, did you find the house(s) you’ve stayed in to be clean? I’m excited to spend the week on a beach with our family, but I feel like I need to mentally prepare myself for this trip! TIA!

Bc we hear it’s beautiful, very family oriented and not that far of a drive. Lots of activities for the kids. We also have family going the same week and we decided last minute that if there was a house rental available for us then we would go.

I did and their fb reviews are all awesome. Not much about the actual houses. More about the vacation and experience itself. But reviews are mostly great with a few people who just weren’t happy with little things like the man at the front desk has become old a crotchety since they were a kid. For some reason I feel like if I can get a review here I’ll believe it’s a real review  I just need to get over the fact that everything grossed me out. We have to bring our own sheets and towels. So we’re going to buy new stuff and bring the old stuff with us. We’ll toss it the morning we leave so we don’t have to bring it home. We’re buying cheap dog beds for the dogs and tossing those before we come home. I’m just a huge germaphobe!!

It's really no different than a hotel when you think about it. They hotels don't even change their pillows out between guests! You will be fine!
