Father's Day Gifts
Ugh, I have no idea what to get DH for father's day. And this is only his third one. First year I got him grill stuff since we just bought a house and were gifted a nice grill. Last year was a FitBit which was a huge hit. I'm not feeling super creative this year. He's very into working out and eating right but we have all the stuff he needs- weight bench, weights, gym membership, new sneakers, work out clothes, ninja for smoothies, etc. I'm looking for any inspiration!

Father's Day Gifts
Does he have a nice scale? My husband got me the Fitbit Aria a few years ago, which works great. I love that it tracks my weight on the app, so I can see trends.
Or I'm planning on getting DH a nice cooler. I'm just trying to decide which one and then figure out where to hide it.

Re: Father's Day Gifts
i'm going with experience gifts from now on. SO will get a day at the spa.
i found a men's salon near where i work. they do things like a straight razor shave, manicures, facials, beard treatments... all that fancy/pampering stuff.
i'll be getting him a middle-of-the-road package... since i don't know what type of treatments he'll like.
SO is bald, so i've made sure to include some type of scalp treatment.
he's never been pampered, so i know he's going to love it.

Re: Father's Day Gifts
My DH requests that we get him nothing as he buys whatever the heck he wants when he wants it and never waits for a holiday. Much like me. We are not ones to delay gratification! LOL But especially since we share a bank acct ...gifts are kind of silly- it's not like we are buying each other anything. It's all our money.
So I have it easy! I love that we do this, makes these endless Hallmark holidays less stressful
DD will make him something and/or buy him something at the school boutique.

Yeah we always SAY this but no one ever follows through. He got me a gift card for a spa mani/pedi for Mother's Day so it's something a little nicer than what I'd normally do. He also got one for my mom and my sister (DD's godmother) which won him lots of points.
So now I'm stuck and I want to get him something.

I was thinking of this, but we have a soundbar we usually use. It's not intended for outdoors, but we have an outlet in the garage so it works just fine. They are hard!!

This is what we do for the most part. It's so easy for me to buy for myself, but very difficult for anyone else to buy for me...

He does have a nice scale and we have a huge cooler. Not the greatest, but it's big and does the trick. Those are great suggestions though!

Re: Father's Day Gifts
A friend of mine has been gifting photo collage blankets for moms for Mother's Day and teachers for end of year gifts and they are a huge hit.
Maybe those are a little fem but you could try a sports bottle with your kids' pictures on them. He can use it to workout. Not a huge gift but I love thoughtful, personalized things.

Okay so I think I got it... bluetooth headphones and a nice stainless steel water bottle since he's constantly stealing my crappy hot pink one.

Father's Day Gifts
It's so hard! If he's into fitness what about the Apple watch? It has a great app that tracks workouts and calories burned etc. Boys love toys like: a GoPro, a drone, or a nintendo switch Other options: wallet, sneakers, tickets to a game or comedy show or concert

Ha a nintendo switch would totally be for me and not him. Didn't really think of a comedy show or concert tickets since I was so set on the fitness angle. I think I'll keep this in my back pocket for his birthday in the fall. lol!

Re: Father's Day Gifts
Did you ask him for ideas? The majority of things mentioned on here, *I* wouldn't want, but many guys would want. DW wouldn't get them for me, because she always asks me what I'd like, or I have some safe categories that she knows I'll always like. I collect pewter dragons and wizards, so for me, that's always a winner, but for most guys, it wouldn't be.
DW also knows I'm very particular about things. Even if I said I wanted a drone, if she picked the "wrong" one, I wouldn't be as happy as if I picked out exactly what I wanted.
Trying to guess what someone wants is a risk.
That's why DW doesn't usually get me anything, and DC (12 and 15) make something, usually a card, and *try* to be nice to me all day...

This 100%. But we are both this way. We are very specific with what we want and the wrong thing would be just wrong.

I don't like to ask people what they want, especially my DH who I feel like I should know better than anyone else in the world. I don't want to say tell me what you want and I'll go buy it with our shared money because that just takes away the whole point of a gift IMO. I truly believe it's "the thought" that counts. But I do know my DH, and I know what he would like and what he'd at.
For instance, I know he wouldn't like a drone or a gopro even if I think those are really cool gifts and something he SHOULD probably enjoy. He'd break the drone in 30 seconds and he'd never take the GoPro out of his box since he has an iPhone that takes videos and is already constantly in his hand. I know he wouldn't like a gift certificate for a shave/treatment because he has a beard and he's extremely particular about who he lets touch it. And he'd NEVER in a million years go for a massage. I like the apple watch idea, but he got a FitBit last year.
I know he WOULD like concert tickets or an experience (helicopter ride, driving a racecar, etc.), but they are a little out of the price range we generally do for mother's day/father's day gifts. Same thing with an outdoor speaker- he complained about using our soundbar outside and said we should just get an outdoor speaker. But I think I'll save that for a Christmas/birthday gift.
I know he WOULD like exercise/diet stuff because OMG- it's all he talks about and would you please go over there, drink your kale smoothie and be sad while I shotgun this donut k thanks bye!
Since he recently housed my pink water bottle with the one handed click-to-drink feature, I got him that in a nice manly stainless steel and larger size. And since he lost his headphones, I got him a nice set of bluetooth headphones... which he's not picky about as long as it plays music and works with his phone.
ETA: Also, if I asked him, he'd say nothing. And then be grumpy when he got nothing on Father's Day.

Yes us too. Which is why we no longer do gifts. He will be like- hey I bought a new tile saw. And I'll be like Awesome, Happy Birthday. By the way, I bought another dress, so Happy Mother's Day to me.

I got a new truck recently, so I've been buying accessories for my truck for the last few weeks, so "Happy Father's Day" and "Happy Birthday" to me... and everything I get is just what I wanted...
I can't imagine asking DW to try and get me side steps for my truck for a present...

My DH got a Man Crate with custom whiskey decanter and glasses for xmas a few years ago - it was so cool!
I was looking around on The Grommet the other day, they had some cool ideas for men

We say the same thing when we get stuff for ourselves.
Gift giving/ receiving is not our love language. I much rather he pick up stuff around the house than buy me anything any day.
Fill that dishwasher, and I'm elated!
