Boys: is there such a thing?

as a rash guard shorts for under their bathing suits?

my son is almost 10 and always gets rashes in the summer time. He's worn underwear under his bathing suit, we've tried Body Glide, creams and cutting out the mesh in bathing suits.

Nothing works.

Anyone heard of such a thing? does it exist?

There are board shorts they don’t have the mesh and you were what is basically boxer briefs but a more quick dry material. Not sure what size you would need but I’d search the surf brands kids lines

What about trying a competition type swimsuit? He could probably wear shorts over it if that would make him more comfortable.

When I go on long hikes, I wear compression shorts so I don't get abrasion rashes on my thighs.

Amazon boy's compression shorts

I cut out the mesh in my son's bathing suits and he wears boxer briefs underneath. Sand does still irritate him at times though.

What about irritation around the band? My son gets scrapes from the top band rubbing against his waist (especially at the beach). We’ve tried different brands and sizes. Same effect on all.
