Bakery recs - south shore nassau
I’m in from OOS and need to order a cake for my mom’s birthday. Does someone know of a really good stand alone bakery that makes a great cake? I’m in the baldwin/RVC área but will drive a bit. Thanks!

The Malverne bakery is really good and not far from RVC.
Just wanted to add that it's cash only.

Sweet Treats in Lynbrook but they are more custom order but very helpful and nut free.. Front Street RVC, beautiful cakes. Marios in Oceanside, Reisters in West Hempstead or Agrigentos in Island Park.

If you're willing to go a little bit farther, Sapienza in Elmont and Buttercooky in Floral Park are excellent.
Also, I have no idea what the name of this bakery is...but if you're familiar with Eastern Meat Farms in Franklin Square (on Franklin Avenue...Red Mango is also in the shopping center) the bakery in that shopping center is out of this world.

I agree, we love Amato
There is also a new bakery in franklin square ppl are raving about - Lulu's on Hempstead Turnpike. Havent tried it yet.
