Re: The Simply Delicious Kitchen - Summer Tortellini Salad
I needed one more idea; so I am making this Saturday; so thank you.
I actually do not like the taste of store bought Italian dressing. I can't explain why. Maybe it tastes not fresh enough?? I dont know.
But do you have a recipe that you use. Something light and simple?
Would love a Rec.
Thanks!!!!

Great!! Hope that you love it!!
I do not like store bought dressings either. I never use them. What I always use to season my pasta salads is either the oil that the Sicilian olives are in OR I buy seasoned fresh mozzarella balls and use the oil from that. They are both so flavorful and delicious.
If I don't have either on hand, I will generally just use a little extra virgin olive oil, Kosher salt, ground black pepper, a handful of minced fresh basil and a few red pepper flakes. It's simple, light and easy.
Let me know what you think!

I love olives but I am the only one in my family. My DH always pushed them to the side too! LOL
