Emmy Rossum leaving Shameless
Just read her goodbye (which was super sweet) on FB. I'm bummed. Won't be the same without her. I had no clue this was happening. I'm hoping Jimmy Steve whisks her away lol.

I think it was renewed for two more seasons. I read that this will be her last season. People are speculating that its due to her wanting the same pay as her dad William Macy. Not sure if this is true. I figured she would just go on with the show till its over. Her message was sweet and I was surprised.

I wonder if that's true about the pay. If so then good for her! I don't think the show will suffer, but I think she deserves equal pay. I wonder how the show will be without her.
I can't wait for the new season, but for some reason I can't rewatch this show. The characters just annoy me. Except for Jimmy/Steve I can watch him all day

THIS!!! Totally and completely agree! It's time to end it then, she is the show. Without her there is no point in continuing.

I agree that she is a huge part of the show, but to ask for the same money as WHM seems a little much to me. He is an actor with a huge career under his belt. That is like me walking into work and demanding the same pay as a SVP bc i feel i bring as much to the table. Regardless if i do or not, im not going to get the same pay.
My feeling is her career will not go far after this. Sadly -- she is a good actress.
