Photo Montage for 30th Birthday?
What do you think about having a photo manage at a 30th Birthday Party?
Yes or No?
TIA

Photo Montage for 30th Birthday?
IMO, a montage is always a no, regardless of occasion.

I don't like them at birthdays but I do enjoy some old pics around.

Re: Photo Montage for 30th Birthday?
For my DHs 30th bday, I bought black plastic table cloths, printed b&w photos of him from birth til 30, taped them to all the table cloths and covered them with a clear one. Everyone really enjoyed them. It was something different
This was almost 10 years ago.

This Instead of having everyone watch I like when older pics are scattered throughout the party.
For DH's 30th (10 years ago) I did a collage of pics on a large poster board. For his 40th last year I just took funny pics and and made funny sayings. For my parent's 50th I had a big board of their wedding pic and pics of them from when they were dating till now with kids and then grandkids on a table for people to look at.

Photo Montage for 30th Birthday?
We just went to a 40th birthday this past weekend and they did a photo montage. I thought it was really cute and everyone seemed to enjoy it. It was 9 mins long.

Printed stuff (or, a poster board or photos scattered around tables/bar) = yay Montage playing on a loop on a TV at the bar = yay Holding guests hostage to watch a montage at some point in the night = nay

Photo Montage for 30th Birthday?
I would say nay. I don't think a 30th birthday warrants a photo montage, but then again, I don't think 30 is a huge milestone birthday. Elderly bdays like 75, etc. sure!

NINE MINUES LONG?!
That’s a long time to just sit and politely smile. My cheeks would hurt. Both sets of cheeks.

I don't really like photo montages in general. I'd rather display photos.

Yes, playing in the background if fine. When I hear “montage” I think hostage holding.
I once sat through a 20 minute montage for a 1st birthday. One year of life, 20 minutes.

Re: Photo Montage for 30th Birthday?
I did one for dh's 40th. Just had it playing in the background.
I made sure I had a picture of everyone who was at the party in the montage as well.
I had fun putting it together and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

I thought the same thing when It started! Lol Surprisingly, it didn’t feel like 9 mins though, much quicker.

This is what I was planning on doing. How many pictures did you have?

Re: Photo Montage for 30th Birthday?
I see nothing wrong with it if you have it on a loop on a TV somewhere. For DH's 40th I took a bunch of pics and taped them to poster board in the shape of 40.
