Craigslist advice
Hi, I am looking to purchase something via Craiglist for the first time. It's a used printer that looks like a great deal. How do I know that it actually works? Do I just meet a stranger at a public location - hand over $$ and hope that he/she is honest? I haven't pinged him yet so any advice would be appreciated! Thank you.

Craigslist advice
I've bought and sold a several things on craigslist. I always go to their home to purchase (with my dh, never by myself) and if I sell something the buyer comes to me. Most items I just show them outside on my front porch. But when its something big like a piece of furniture, they come in to see it/lift it out to their car. If you feel comfortable going to the person's home just make sure to not go alone and before you go ask if they have an outdoor outlet or extension cord that will reach from an indoor outlet to their front door so you can try the printer. Or maybe if you meet at a library or something you might be able to use one of their outlets. I would definitely want to try it before paying for it. I once sold a vacuum and let the buyer come in and try in on our welcome mat.
