I know people who have had success with it. It's basically SlimFast, meal replacement with shakes, plus a multi-level marketing scheme.
I also know people who gained all the weight back once they stopped buying the expensive shakes.

I just started the 9 day cleanse program on Friday. So far, so good.
It's basically meal replacements (2 shakes plus supplements plus one 400-600 calorie meal that you make yourself) there are also cleanse days built into the program, where you just drink this cleansing juice. Most people start with a clease program offered 9 or 30 days, then do maintenance ( 1 or 2 shakes a day and healthy meals).
It's like any else. If you quit and go back to old habits you will put the weight back on. But the person I know who does it, has had awesome results. 11 pounds in the first month and down 18 total in 2 months. She now does maintenance at 1 to 2 shakes a day.
You can order it off Amazon to avoid having to purchase through a coach.

It works quickly and you lose inches fast. BUT as soon as you start eating normal again it all comes back and then some. I lost 15 pounds on it and gained back 25 within 1.5 months of stopping. I now have fat pockets in areas I did not prior to the program. I would not recommend it as it is extremely hard to stick with.
