Biotin, are there really nail benefits?
I am a 47 yr old female and have noticed ridges on my nails the past couple of years.I also have one nail that always splits down the bed .. it never really grows that long. My other nails do not grow very long either. Anyone with similar exp take biotin and have it help?

I've been taking it for about a month. I haven't noticed any changes in my nails but my hair does seem healthier.

Re: Biotin, are there really nail benefits?
when I took the biotin religiously every day, my nails looked fantastic and hardly broke at all. I've had a lot going on the past 2 months, so I've been delinquent with my supplements (lucky i remember to eat) and my nails are peeling, splitting and are mostly stubs.
I started with 5,000 of biotin because I originally started it for my eyebrows. Then dropped to 2,000 because I was getting acne from too much. The 2,000 per day kept my nails great. My hair was growing long faster but not any new growth in spots I'm thinning - so that stinks.
but for my nails, I saw a HUGE difference.
