Apple Watch
Considering getting one, if you have one, do you have the gps model or gps+carrier. Do you think it’s a good purchase and like it or no? I’m going to be working on a hospital floor and won’t have my phone on me during the day, I like the idea in case my kids have an emergency

Apple Watch
Honestly, I have one and don't love it. I have the one that works as a phone. I find texting annoying on it and emails difficult to read at times. I know I am probably in the minority, but I am always with my phone and prefer that.
Just wanted to add, the only reason I have it is b/c I have had heart issues in the past and this monitors my heart rate easily. The only thing I use it for.

DH has a fit bit watch that does this- shows his texts and calls.
So that's another, cheaper option if you don't want to go for the Apple Watch but want to see your calls/texts.

I have the Fitbit that does this, but you can’t respond which on the Apple Watch you can that’s why I was thinking maybe of getting it

Ah ok. I thought you just wanted to be alerted to a call or text and would be able to get to your phone if need be in an emergency.
Yeah in that case, you'd need the Apple Watch.

I have the Apple Watch, with gps+carrier. It’s wonderful, I can’t live without it now. I think you need the carrier if you don’t want to have your cell on you at all times.. don’t quote me on that though. But I’m able to leave my cell at home or in my car and still get all calls/texts on my watch.

I had a Fitbit and my nephew just bought me the Apple Watch for my bday this summer. I love it!
My favorite differences:
I like that I can answer texts on it
I also like that when im using google maps for driving directions, it vibrates as my next turn comes up.
The newest one has a lot more features too.

I have the apple watch and LOVE it. I can't live without it.
I don't have the carrier plan on it (I have an older model). I wish I did. That would complete me lol.

This! I love my Apple Watch!!! It’s the best when I’m walking my pup and don’t need my phone with me. I love it in the car, and for me texting on it is super easy, I use the microphone part.
