Re: For those who havent woken up yet
This is one mans opinion in a NY Daily news article. There were some Obama supporters that said things that were off the cuff (Like the Minister at his church). Didn't make me think that is what Obama stood for. There are Dems that have called for violence against GOP people. I don't think this represents all Democrats.
So now anyone that supports Trump is a member of the KKK? Come on.

The point of posting the article is that this man who has direct ties to KKK says that trumps policies align with white nationalism.
Did you read the article? Its barely an opinion piece. Unless you think his experience is irrelevant. And no one said anything about supporters. The “whataboutism” got old months ago. Obama is not President.

I read it. Still think it is his opinion.

It's convenient that you can say here that a Republican can have a different opinion, but you lump all Democrats into the "wanting open borders" camp in your other post. It must be nice having it both ways when it works for your narrative.

I try really hard to refocus my anger and do not try to change people but instead do what I can to make the world a more loving compassionate empathetic place. I know there are a lot of people who do not realize that you dont have to use certain words or be a certain way to have underlying racist views. Its exists among people we work with and our neighbors right here on LI. In this mans talks and teachings he did not use “bad” words regarding race and religion so it seems acceptable (“i am not a racist cause i dont use the N word”) but had the same tone that Trump and many of his supporters do (ex fear of immigrants).
So...google Derek Black. There is a new book written about him. His hate of certain people was overcome because his Jewish college friends invited him to Sabbath week after week even though they knew his background. There is hope.

I second this - Derek Black is fascinating to read about. He was a rising star in the white nationalist community (brought up in it from childhood), and then he went to college and met people who are different from him, and his whole world view changed.
