Riddle me this....
So you all know I love Closet Candy Boutique and I also love Emmer and Oat- another online boutique.
Emmer and Oat always seemed pricey to me. Sometimes they run a flash sale, but in generally the prices are high for what it is even with a sale code.
Recently I saw a sweter I liked on Emmer but it was $68 and that to me is too much for a sweater like this. So I was waiting for a sale coe.
This morning I'm on FB and Closet Candy puts out some new arrivals.
See anything similar? Look at the prices on each. Interesting.... I am not talking a few dollars. I am talking HALF PRICE. W T F???

Well if you buy it, you know where to get it from.
And this wasn't the first thing either I noticed.
About 5 or 6 items are the same on CCB yet like half the price.
I saw a camo fall jacket- loved it. $88 on Emmer and Oat- which is INSANE for a fall jacket.
$40 on CCB a few weeks later.
Nuts.

Maybe CCB purchase in bulk and get it for cheaper? The other one maybe gets a few items, so they jack the price up, since the boutique has "limited qty".

It’s definitely markup and how much the supplier was charged from the vendor.
I work in retail on the manufacturing side and see this all the time. CCB may have been offered the sweater from extra production at a lower cost and is able to sell it to the customer for cheaper. Or they work on different markup strategies.
Also, if the other site is likely to have a sale, they will retail the item at a higher cost so when it goes on sale they still make their money.

Yes I order all the time. Their stuff is great. It's not Saks quality or anything but for the price it's great. The only thing I can't wear from there is their dresses- I have returned every dress I ever tried- they are very short. Their models are all 5'5 and under and I am 5 9. It seems their dresses are meant for shorter women. My ass shows in every single one. LOL
But their tops are great! And if you aren't tall, their dresses are adorable too- just not for me.

Great for a cold day like today.
I recommend it for sure!

Don’t do it, it’s addictive!
I’ve never had a problem, most stuff is returnable and comes within a week. It’s basically different boutiques in one spot.
