florida resort w/kids?
I don't want to do a big trip since we're doing aruba in November.
So i wanted to just fly to florida in march, not visit family, and just relax by a beach/pool. No disney. I don't mind staying in Orlando, just not doing disney this trip. I'll go anywhere in FL.
3 kids: 10, 7 and 4.
Any recommendations on where you stayed and loved?

Tradewinds Resort in St. Pete Beach. So much to do there for the kids. It’s right on the beach and has a pool.

Re: florida resort w/kids?
I love Florida!
In Spring, weather can be cool or perfect... I think Fort Lauderdale/Miami has predictable weather (high about 80). Fort Lauderdale has a new Marriott resort (Harbour beach resort) on the beach that looks great in person too and is super close to the airport. I’d do that one. It was fully booked last I travelled there. If it’s not in the budget (prices vary highly by season), I’d look at a small place in Lauderdale by the sea. It’s lovely, cheaper and has a great beach/restaurants and even nightlife. Spring is peak season and many people will rent out condos by the week/month.
I loved Clearwater and Naples & Sarasota too. It’s west coast and the sunsets and still water is amazing. Clearwater is less $$$ but it’s not far from Orlando (which can be cool which is about high of 70 in March).
Both coasts have a ton to do for the kids from fishing to museums to pirate cruises (which are so much fun!).

Sandpearl ClearWater Beach. Amazing. Top notch service. Stunning everything.
If you are willing to rent a car and drive from Miami or Ft Lauderdale- Playa Largo Resort and Spa in Key Largo. Brand new, so upscale. Ridiculous- probably one of the most beautiful settings ever.
Margaritaville in Hollywood Beach. Also new. Gorgeous. And fun.
All very kid friendly.
All very luxurious and you get spoiled. I am VERY picky with hotels and all of these are up to snuff for me.

We have been to Marco Island and love it! My kids had blast. We visited Naples which is about 20 minutes from Marco Island. They have a nice zoo there for the kids as well.

I’ve visited Marco Island but never stayed. Place looks great. Nice and southern too. Let me know how it is! Maybe I will do it next time ;) This site is how I visited Clearwater (which was fun).

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, just north of Naples. Really nice hotel with a mini water park - 4 slides plus a lazy river. Even though the hotel was full over New Years we never had trouble getting chairs by the pool. Lots of activities for kids. Excellent service. We used to stay at the Ritz in Naples but it is crazy expensive with 4 dc since we need two rooms. Plus this had a lot more to keep older kids busy and happy.
