What bags do you absolutely love and have or wish you could have?
My top 3 would be: YSL monogram mini shoulder bag in black Chanel classic medium in black Hermès evelyne crossbody in orange Runners up: Celine phantom in every color YSL Niki in grey Hermès Constance (If we are talking no money limits)

Re: Wish List luxury handbags
To be honest I have no idea what any of those bags look like. I am more of a quantity person. I'd rather have 100 different cheaper bags than one super expensive one. Same with clothes and shoes. I like variety and I get bored way too easily to drop a few grand on a bag- because that would mean I wouldn't be able to buy a new one for the rest of my life pretty much.

I just had to google them, I had no idea either what they looked like! If I was forced to pick one of those it would be the Chanel Classic medium, but in no way on my wishlist. I'm with Nell, I have at least 50 handbags, most expensive bag I have is $400, and to me that is a lot of money for a bag! I change my handbags out almost daily, so I like quantity.

I agree with the other posters. I couldnt afford a bag like that. Id rather have more options and not worry about ruining something. BUT if i was rich I would go with the Chanel Classic Medium. It is a beautiful bag! (love how connie britton wears it in almost every episode of dirty john)

Re: Wish List luxury handbags
I also agree with the other posters but can definitely appreciate the want for these type of bags. Tho I personally don’t like anything with a monogram. It’s just like wearing a flashing sign that says “look what I have” either for envy or to be robbed walking to your car lol
That’s just me I also hardly wear my e-ring when I’m out alone because I’m not sure if my mace will stop a crackhead from trying to cut my finger off
I know - a lil nuts lol
After all that ... the small Chanel would be my pick. Prob to use on special occasions. Weddings, events, etc

I'd rather have just one good bag because I don't switch my bags often (almost never except for black to brown). Prada, balenciaga, balmain would be my top choice.

My dream of dreams is an emerald croc Hermes Kelly. I will never in my life get it unless I win a (very large lottery).
I love Celine bags, and have been lusting after the Mini Luggage for awhile. I love the kohl/charcoal color.
I love bags.

If I had $5,000 sitting around I'd redo my half bath and buy a $50 bag at Macys

Re: Wish List luxury handbags
So what makes these bags worth that kind of money? At the end of the day they are still just leather (and sometimes not even leather like those LV bags) and stitching right? Are they stitched together with 24K gold threads? Are they lined with diamonds? Do unicorns and fairies come down from heaven to manufacturer them? Do they last 100 years?
I bet you they cost about $50 to make and these "designers" are laughing all the way to the bank.
I don't see them being any better quality to be honest. I have a $50 bag that has lasted for 10 years and still going strong. And I carry some heavy ass shit in it.
It's all a label.

I just have to say, this is what drives me crazy about this board. If you don’t have a wish list of bags, if bags are not your thing or you’re not into luxury items, don’t bother commenting. I started this thread just for the fun of it and the majority of you sucked the fun right out.

Sorry you feel that way, but I know not one person in real life who has a wishlist of handbags. I think everyone has been respectful. If you don't want people to comment, don't post on a public forum. I'm sure there is probably a high end luxury board on FB where you might feel more comfortable.

It’s true in a sense. But some people like higher end stuff wether it’s justified doesn’t matter. Especially if you have the means.
Some people obsess over make up. Expensive make up. Some over shoes. Some over household items - crazy expensive rugs , etc. to each their own. I think if I didn’t grow up poor , I may be into more of the higher end stuff. But for me, a $100 bag is luxurious. Even though I can go buy any of these if I really wanted to - I can’t justify it.
But can see the appeal of owning something of luxury.

I agree. I’m sorry. I jumped right on. Didn’t mean to take the fun out of it for ya. Like I said - if I had to choose and wasn’t a weirdo about super nice stuff - that Chanel would be my choice for sure

Yes i guess I mean i can afford it. But i don't see the quality difference that justifies the insane price tag. If i did maybe I'd consider it.

I compare it to the people who will talk about diamonds. They don’t need big ones. And talk ish about those who do. Some do. Some don’t. And everyone is right. Ya know?

I noticed the same thing on these boards. Bags. Disney. Etc. to each their own.
But I’m with you. I like nice bags. The YSL is on my list.

Disney? Really? Just go on the Travel board- it should be renamed the DISNEY board. That's the only place people seem to travel on this board. Disney. Disney. Disney. 80% of all threads are Disney related. How does that even remotely related to what she said?

I don't know what any of those bags are but I would go with whichever is most timeless and free of monograms.
Also, are you the one who got the gc for like $1k? Didn't someone on here get a gc to a high end site and couldn't return it? If so, wtf else are you supposed to do with it other than use it to buy a luxury item?!

I was gifted a YSL monogram black bag for Christmas from the hubby. It’s my first designer bag. I would really like a Channel classic but they are super expensive. I have my eye on a never full now.

Re: Wish List luxury handbags
I love all of Stella McCartney’s bags, especially the reversible Falabella tote. And the Falabella fold over tote. IDK if those are considered a ‘luxury’ bag, but for me they would be. Maybe one day I’ll treat myself :)
I do like how a lot of these high end bags look (minus monogrammed ones, those aren’t my vibe) and especially how they feel - some are like butter, they’re so soft. But not wearing leather means that the majority of them are completely off the table for me personally.

Are you getting the smooth leather? I opted for the black caviar grained leather for less wear and tear.
