I recently learned of an unacceptable situation at DD's school/daycare. If the situation is not fixed we will be looking for a new school. She is 3 so she no longer needs a daycare setting, however, we do need full day with early drop off/late pickup.

Any feedback on the following?

South Shore Country Day School
Maplewood
Merrick Woods
Wee Friends

I may call the local catholic school to see if they have early drop off/late pickup for preschool.

I thought I was past this crap and wouldn't need another school until kindergarten Chat Icon

I looked into all these schools last year for my DS. We ended up going to UPK, but I had a deposit down at Merrick Woods. I almost went with Maplewood. I know several children who go there and the families are happy. They use the early/late drop off. Only thing that I didn't like about Maplewood was that there is no rest time for the kids. The day seemed like it would be too much for my DS. Wee Friends I've heard good things about too. I considered Twin Oaks as well. Not sure which day care you at now, but I liked Children's Nest too.

I will PM you where my DD goes, we are happy there. It is a catholic school that offers before and after care.

Re: Preschools

I’ve heard wonderful things about maplewood and about wee friends. If you do consider a catholic school option in the areas you mentioned, pm me. We were sooo happy with where we sent dd for nursery/pre-k that we decided to keep her there. Wonderful community of parents.

My nephews went/go to Maplewood and my niece will be there starting in September. My brother and SIL really like it there and to my knowledge, haven't had any issues in the past few years. My SIL is an elementary school administrator and knows her stuff, so anywhere she picked was incredibly well-researched and scrutinized.

Thank you all. She is staying put as her school resolved the issue and I’m happy with the outcome.

Maplewood is on our short list for kindergarten so I’m glad to hear the good feedback!
