Pulling kid out of school for vacation
Does anyone know if there are any ramifications for pulling your kid out of school for a week when they have an IEP? Like are services forfeited or anything like that? We will be taking a trip to Disney in November for my husband's 40th and we will have to pull DS (who will be 7 at that time) out of school for a week. He is in a small self contained classroom with pull outs for OT/PT and Speech.

No just let your school teachers , speech and OT know and principal know and mail the Special needs department chair also if you want to be extra careful ,But honestly 1 week is not that long
We are actually leaving for 2 weeks ( out of country for a family wedding) and I emailed everyone , to be extra careful

Pulling kid out of school for vacation
Not a problem. Just let the teacher and the attendance office know. No need to tell anyone else. We just had our daughter out for 3 weeks when we went to China and it wasn't an issue.
