I can't imagine that situation. I feel like I would have been dead! good thing she was zombie apocalypse obsessed, it saved her life. that and the adrenaline. John was such a scumbag. I thought it was weird that the mother was upset when she heard john was still online dating and when she saw the wedding picture in the trailer. she really loved him and its like but he almost killed your daughter... strange!

Yeah i noticed how they threw that in there as well. Kind of sick... I'd be so happy to see him dead and burned!!!

I think she was mourning for the man she THOUGHT he was. Like wow, I really thought he was a great guy when I met him, I really thought we could be happy. And she lost that person (He didn't really exist but she thought he did...) kwim?

So I had been avoiding this thread because I DVRed the finale. I'm home not feeling well today so I watched it.
Definitely didn't see that coming either. They focused so much on the other daughter and her hatred for John- so if anything I thought it would somehow come down to her... and to be honest I'd thought he kill or injure her.

What a fuking psychopath this man was!!

Very true. It is just craaazzzy. How does anyone trust anyone else? Oh what a world@

Just binged watched the whole thing this past weekend. I didn't know the whole story going into it and found it really fascinating. Some of the acting was terrible (especially the daughters), but overall, I thought it was really good

I agree with PP some of the acting seems bad,,, but i think that was because the actors/actresses were emulating real people and trying to speak like them. I know for a fact the one daughter who is also in Ozark is a killer actress. So it seems odd that she was so off in this. Must be playing the part based on the real life girl.

I started watching this a few days ago on demand. Geez this mother is clueless and naive. And man was he good. Quick with answers for everything. And the daughter! I mean I know she means well and she was right. But I want to slap her!

I remember seeing this story on Dateline. Don't recall thinking how naive she was when I was watching it. Just how lucky she was her daughter wasn't killed!
