If your kids share a room without bunk beds
Can you guys show me what your kids shared rooms look like. I’ve got two munchkins (4 and a half and 1 and a half) sharing a room. It’s not a huge room , 9x12, with the door cutting into the 9 foot side but I do want two twin beds.
Pls don’t show me or try to talk me into bunk beds. My kids truly believe they are wrestlers and I can just imagine their heads going through the ceiling
When I google or Pinterest I get the elaborate treehouse or pirate ship shit with beds hanging off the walls. I just want a normal bedroom with a shared nightstand and one dresser. Something realistic.
Thanks guys

If your kids share a room without bunk beds
My girls share with two twin beds. Their room is long and narrow, about 20x9 but one end has a steep slant. We did upholstered platform beds so no bulky footboard and soft corners to navigate. The younger one's bed is pushed under the slant but not to the wall bc it's too low. Then there's a small nightstand and the other bed is right next to that. So there's maybe 20" between the beds and a little more than that from the end of the beds to the wall. I didn't plan to set it up that way bc I didn't think everything would fit but it actually worked out perfectly.

i don't have pics to show but a lot depends on your furniture, you'll need smaller scale. For instance Beds without foot boards take up a lot less space. Go to pinterest and put in "small bedrooms for two boys shared room" y=that will help with some layouts that might work.

My boys room is set as 2 twin beds on each long wall with one tall dresser between them. At the end of one of the beds is a small craft table. There is no room for playing or toys in there.

Re: If your kids share a room without bunk beds
I’m thinking I’ll have to have the one bed the way it is now, all the way to the left, with feet facing the door (I don’t like this ) and his head under the one window which comes down low cuz the window is big. The other bed could be pushed up against the other side but will cover the baseboard to the room completely, little guys legs will be under the other window and feet facing the closet. Between them would be a dresser I guess
Shoulda done an up-over-the living room and dining room extension for a master bedroom on a third floor
Each kid woulda had their own room

I don’t have a picture right now and honestly I don’t know how to upload on here lol. But I have a square table in the corner and then I have a twin bed coming off the other two sides. The table behind them acts as their nightstand and then I have a desk and dresser on the opposite wall near the door.

We have 2 twins but the room is very big.
Can you do 2 headboards along the 12ft side. Nightstand in the middle. Dresser on the other wall?

I like this idea and thought about it after I saw the pottery barn corner piece but the one bed would prob come too far down and make opening the closet door difficult
I mean maybe a real narrow table might work

If your kids share a room without bunk beds
My boys have captains beds. I like them because they are small and each have three drawers. I am also able to make them into a L shape because there is no head or footboard.
