Parents of children with ADHD
Hi,
Asking for a co-worker (she's not on this board).
Does anyone have experience with neuro-feedback therapy for ADHD? Her son is 10, struggles in school and at home (behavior and academically).
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Re: Parents of children with ADHD
My son and stepson were diagnosed with ADD and ADHD.
Not sure what neuro-feedback therapy is, so I’m assuming we didn’t do that.
With my stepson who was diagnosed with ADHD, we put him on medication and he went to a therapist twice a month because he had behavioral issues. Once a month he would see the psychiatrist to monitor his meds and make sure he was ok. My stepson was like your friend kid, you could tell at home he had ADHD. Something was definitely off.
My son was borderline diagnosed with ADD. The neurologist said he showed ADD tendencies. We put him on medication this year because he was acting out in school to the point of expulsion. I think I am going to put him in therapy because he lies a lot. At home he’s fine and you can’t tell he has ADD. Even yesterday I got a compliment on how well behave and controlled he was while waiting for me to get waxed. How he’s such a good kid and calm. In school though he is a different kid. The stories the teachers tell me I can’t even believe. It’s like night and day.
